About the Artist Barry Hilton
Having begun life in Manchester, Barry Hilton then moved to Cornwall in 1979 where he lived for 3 years developing his now famous painting style, his dark yet dynamic, moody skies along with the contrasting textural and vibrant coloured, moorlands, rivers, harbours, land and seascapes which capture perfectly the atmosphere of the outdoors.
Barry has tackled and conquered many difficult subject matters from painting Victorian street scenes to galleon ships over the years he has been painting, now living in rural Lancashire, with regular visits back to Cornwall and other very different areas of the UK, he continues to paint in the style which he has perfected due to his rich and genuine talent.
