We wonder how one of the world’s best looking men feels about this latest portrait of himself? Not that it’s exactly a portrait as such, and it’s probably better described as a study of one of the actor’s most popular fictitious embodiments. Yes.
Equally popular humour artist, Caroline Shotton’s been doing that creative thing that she does rather well again; this time turning her what-would-a-famous-public-figure-look-like-where-they-to-be-portrayed-as-a-cow attentions to iconic Hollywood star, Johnny Depp.
Or to be exact, Johnny Depp’s swashbuckling character from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, Captain Jack Sparrow. Right down to the interspersed dreadlocks and the beaded goatee on his chinny-chin-chin, Shotton has assembled an accurate iteration of Jack Sparrow; where he to be born a cow and not a man.
Strikingly positioned a ‘front a predominantly black background, the bovine interpretation puts on a heroic, defiant pose and sits as one would expect a subject to sit if they were having their likeness committed to canvas. Albeit a very amusing one.
