Marilyn Monroe is as much an icon and inspiration today as she was during her tragically short-lived life, lived for a good part in the gaze of the public eye; yet conversely captured the imaginations of successive generations due to her much publicized life and times.
Life-long compiler and himself, famed photographer responsible for depicting some of the most iconic idols, matinee and otherwise of their day on celluloid/photographic paper, the late Edward Weston has recently had a collection of some of his most cherished portfolio released in limited edition giclee on paper format.

‘Phone Call, North Hollywood, 1962’ is one such towering visual example of an envied collection which has again seen the light of day this Spring 2014, care of Washington Green on this occasion. A sprawled Marilyn is caught relaxing on her bed, taking a phone call in the early 1960s, in itself nothing overly special, yet the very onset of Monroe immediately making it a timeless and alluring snapshot of the day.
