We all know one, whether we admit to it or not, and in the main they’re harmless creatures of habit who freely roam railway stations and almost go unnoticed. We say almost, yet not in the case of respected and best-selling contemporary figurative artist, Sarah Jane Szikora; who’s just released her brand new Summer 2014 study based on the very subject matter which goes under most of our radars.
Yup, ‘Anoraks United’ pays illustrative tribute to the much ridiculed (but more often than not, applauded) trainspotter. And as pictorial homage of sorts sees a gaggle of their typically flask and notepad-equipped brethren gather on a station platform awaiting the 5.51 to nowhere and beyond.
