There are many ways in which to wax lyrical about the typical subject matter which comprises an instantly recognisable Alex Echo work of art, yet when the acclaimed contemporary abstract artist benefits from such a turn of the vernacular themselves, it’s a shame not to run with their description. Straight from the horse’s mouth and all that jazz. So therefore Echo goes straight to the illustrative money shot by suggesting that his brand new limited edition, boxed canvas compositional release offers his; “Attempt at capturing the tiniest snapshot of the infinite ballet of quantum miracles that lay before our eyes every single second of our lives."
Launched this Autumn 2014 – along with the rest of this equally never-been-seen-before 4-piece collection – Echo’s graphically inspiring and visually captivating (although admittedly wordy and technical-sounding), ‘Elemental Source Study 4’ is as ever an abstract sight to behold, with whoever’s words facilitated doing little justice to the illustrative might of what viewers are confronted with. Adding to the appeal is the underlying fact that Echo is donating all royalties from the collection’s accumulated sales to Water Aid.
