Mushroom-shaped houses and marshmallow-coloured trees might sound a little Button Moon or Teletubbies (delete as appropriate to when you experienced your formative years), yet when confronted with the graphic truth and nothing but the graphic truth then you’ll quickly concur that there’s nothing remotely child-like about Miller James’s (2 creative minds acting as the 1) brand new Spring 2015 original release seen here.
A veritable riot of intoxicatingly vibrant hue and saturation, this well balanced and compositionally considered new study by one two of the contemporary landscape art genre’s most prominent movers and shakers in recent times, represents a breath of fresh air in a creative discipline which can sometimes lose its sheen and multitude of layers underneath the sheer weight of subject matter. Not so with the exciting Miller James’s ‘Spellbound IV’ however, as the viewer (and potential purchaser) is treated to just a taste of what the unique duo can do with a paintbrush, courtesy of this delicious slice of pure, unadulterated pictorial fun.
