Neil Dawson speaks candidly about how he’s specifically attempted to ‘capture the essence of rain’ within the context of his brand new Spring 2016 pictorial reveal observed in all of its glory hereabouts (yet simultaneously describing the mantra behind all three of the acclaimed contemporary cityscape artist’s latest mini-series), going on to wax lyrical about how he set about achieving this visually-challenging goal by ‘not only with the reflections, but also with the verticals washing down the colours and altering shapes’.
‘Night Time Rain’ compositionally encapsulates all three of the primary factors (and well observed illustrative props) which have been a graphic mainstay of Dawson’s most recent canvas forays, and uses them all to full effect in the creative delivery of his very latest release. We are of course referring to the aforementioned use of rain, together with the adaption of nightfall and Dawson’s almost ubiquitous, London taxi cab (which has put in an appearance in many of the award-winning artist’s recent outings. Limited to just 150 editions from the outset, this hand-signed giclee on canvas number is now available to enquire about both in store and online.
