According to the revered contemporary landscape art exponent himself, Philip Gray inherited his creativity and adventurous spirit from his mother’s side of his family; which apparently was a lineage which (fittingly you might concur) nurtured both sailors and artists as the family tree’s history dictated. Born in Cork in Ireland back in 1959, the now best-selling Gray fell in love with art from the age of 5-years, and one of his earliest memories (as Gary himself recalls it) is of being tutored in figurative drawing by a family friend, Trevor Scott; the founder of the renowned College of Art and Design in Dublin no less. But that was then and this (‘Our Destiny’) is now, Summer 2016 as it happens, and this giclee mounted limited edition landscape represents part and parcel of the ever popular Gray’s brand new collection; all of which iterations bear the acclaimed fine artist’s signature for the record.
