It’s party time over at Cow Mansions and what better way to celebrate something than to do that very 2000-and-something ‘thang’, take a selfie! Which is precisely what our two bovine revellers did here by the compositional looks of it as the drinks started flowing and the fun and games went into overdrive. Pictorially commemorating that most Spring 2016 of pastimes, ‘Bovine O’Clock – Selfie’ really is an illustrative sign of the times by Caroline Shotton.

Shotton – should she need another introduction – is of course one of the leading lights in her chosen contemporary animal humour art practising genre, and she who makes a pleasing and recurrent habit of picturing cows in the most amusing of unnatural poses. Which makes the ‘she’ in visual question far removed from being the cat’s mother for sure.
