What better way to commemorate the Queen’s 90th birthday than to immortalise her Majesty’s, er, majesty, Nic Joly styley?! And naturally, being a Nic Joly (much celebrated, yet ever so slightly controversial at time, contemporary fine artist; in case you weren’t otherwise au fait) the cementing of our reigning monarch’s longevity – in both life and whilst sat on the throne – is delivered with typical tongue-in-cheekery; exactly as we all like it. New for Spring 2016, the hugely popular (but not quite as high profile as HRH, obvs) Joly’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ graphically pays comedic homage to one of the nation’s favourite TV shows.
Whether or not one will be amused at the artistic sight of her royal self performing an audition/act for Simon Cowell and co, is open to debate; and if not, Joly can be relieved that treason doesn’t necessarily result in a trip to the Tower of London these days. But we’re 100% sure EVERYONE (royal subjects and the longest-reigning monarch in British history) will rejoice at the sight of the Queen actively encouraging one of her beloved corgis to leap through a hoop in the name of entertainment. Limited to a mere (and what else, numerically other than) 90 individually signed editions of this unique 17.5” squared wall sculpture, we’re expecting a significant amount of interest from the outset. So get in touch with us right now to avoid heartache….
