Lowry meets Banksy (hypothetically-speaking) in this brand new limited edition wall sculpture entitled ‘Banksy was Here’. Which of course he wasn’t, as nobody really knows when and where the iconic – and lesser-spotted – Bristolian-based graffiti artist is going to strike next. This reverse perspective, mind-bendingly impressive wall sculpture sees the critically acclaimed contemporary artist, John Wilson pay visual homage to the reluctant graphic hero of urban legend, via the former’s on-going conceptual love affair with a past master of his own specific genre, namely Salford-born and bred paintsmith, L S Lowry. This 33” x 17” compositional mash-up forms an integral part of the hugely popular Wilson’s Autumn 2016 mini-series, all of which can be enquired about through us here and now.
