A familiar sight on coastal fringes which semi-encircle the southern-most tips of the UK, John Wilson’s visual take on ‘Beach Huts’ are not what first meets the eye of the contemporary art-loving beholder. Which perhaps might not surprise that many of you. Back this Autumn 2016 with his brand new mini-series, the highly regarded (and much collected) Wilson has been graphically influenced at this time of asking by those oft-striped (and habitually vividly hued and saturated) shed-like constructs which proliferate great swathes of our favourite seaside destinations; albeit adding his own unique 3D twist to the finished pictorial effects on offer here. Restricted from the off to just 150 individually-signed limited edition wall sculptures, Wilson’s ‘The Beach’ illustratively revels in one of the most quintessentially British features discovered far and wide on our summer sojourns, and as such is destined to garner much approval from fans and collectors of the celebrated artistic exponent this back end.
