More normally picturing the rural delights of the almost fictitious world in which he habitually seeks inspiration, the fast emerging (and already best-selling) contemporary landscape art exponent, Ryder returns this Autumn 2016 with new compositional tales to tell; yet this time via the visual medium of cityscapes. However, and before the puritans get too vexed at this notion, we’re talking ethereal rooftop vistas, graphically drafted in the signature way Ryder elaborated on in his hitherto countrified pictorial snapshots. In Ryder’s own words; “For my new autumn releases I wanted to do something brand new, something that tells a story, and incorporates the soft glow of moonlight, which I have always had a soft spot for”, and he’s certainly delivered on his brief when taking in the twilight delights of his brand new giclee on canvas limited edition, entitled ‘Midnight Moon’.
