Well, whatever have we here? Essentially what we have here is something we’re pretty much certain Mary Whitehouse would have taken issue with back in the day, based almost entirely on the subject matter Nic Joly has elected to facilitate this Spring 2018. Never a contemporary fine art exponent to tip toe around potential controversy-attracting minefields, the most excellent brother of TV presenter and comedian, Dom, has upped the stakes a tad more this time round by illustratively imagining/graphically interpreting a popular turn of vernacular. ‘Lift off’ might well as first glance appear rocket-y and risk-free, yet on closer inspection NASA might find issue with the element which is all-set to broaden the users immediate horizons. Still, from a wall-sculpted perspective, what you see is what you get; in terms of a hand-signed, 17.5" x 16.5" limited edition iteration by a hugely popular artist with a keen sense of humour. Bag it while you can!
